Individuals with a mental illness and/or addiction may qualify for several free and subsidized programs
The Shelter Aid for Elderly Renters (SAFER) is available to qualifying seniors in B.C. The program provides direct cash assistance to eligible residents of B.C. who are age 60 or over and who pay rent for their homes.
This United Way program offers many options to help seniors living at home including friendly visiting, transportation, light yard work, minor home repairs, snow shoveling, light housekeeping and grocery shopping. Contact the Prince George Seniors Resource Centre at 250-564-5888 for information.
City of Prince George Enjoy swimming, skating and many more programs in community centres in Prince George for free or a 75 percent reduced rate.
Qualified recipients are entitled to one single campsite, or one half of a double site, per night for their (one) Camping Party for free.
A reduced fee for angle fishing with a non-tidal license is available to persons with disabilities. Submit the application form to your local ServiceBC office.
