Families Support Group in Prince George is a professionally trained peer-led group meeting every second Tuesday at the ACE Centre in Prince George.

Family members  can include caregivers, parents, partners, siblings, adult children) affected by mental illness (bipolar, depression, anxiety, trauma-related, substance use & addiction disorders). BC Virtual Mental Health Supports

The B.C. Government has numerous virtual services available for families and friends, as well as individuals. These include immediate help, low-cost counselling, courses and supports for people of all ages, genders and backgrounds experiencing mental illness and/or addiction.

Mental Health First Aid

MHFA is a type of first aid class offered around the world. This is an example of an MHFA class teaching how to help someone with an emerging health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate treatment is found or the situation is resolved. Classes are available in Prince George TBD.

National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI)

Virtual NAMI support groups based in Cook County, IL are free for Canadians to join as well (2 hours ahead of B.C. time).  NAMI provides several types of online groups for family, parents, partners and close friends of adults living with a mental illness.
